A great day for the purple men in the BBO Premier with Wheatley running in 10 tries.
Wheatley set out with intent looking to move the ball quickly from the outset with Risborough uneasy with the pace of the game Wheatley found themselves deep in the visitors half with Jack Smith able to borrow over to open the scoring, Aaron Laman with the conversion, 7-0
Risborough hit back straight away with a well worked try of their own exploiting gaps around the fringe 7-7
Like a slap with a we fish this did wake up Wheatley and executing with more precision the purple men pushed hard for the remainder of the half adding a further 4 first half tries and a Laman penalty giving the home side a 34 -7 lead at the break.
The second half saw the visitors stage a spirited fight back but with the Wheatley defence equal to all that was thrown at it, The try of the match came from a defensive scrum 10 meters out, with Pete Mitchell striking one against the head number eight Simon Chadbone broke from the base and carried to the halfway with Michale Ridge in support to take the ball on further into the Risborough half Jack Taylor was on hand to take the pop from the floor, Chadbone wound back the years to pop back on the outside to slip the pass to Jack Harpur to score out wide, Harpur added the conversion with Arron Laman off the field injured.
Jack Taylor was the next on the score sheet with a flash of magic from 10 Toby Butler after breaking the gain line with several passing options available Butler opted for the chip pass to Jack Taylor plucking the ball from the air and managing to just make the try line for his Hat Trick.
Four more Wheatley tries followed thorough out the remaining 30 mins but giving the visitors credit they continued to probe the Wheatleyy defence, a scrum close to the home sides try line saw the ball shoot out the side with the visitors scrum half quickest to pounce for a converted try.
Wheatley were left a little frustrated with how the game finished but in patched showed what they are capable of.
